Sega and Creative Assembly have confirmed the pre-order bonuses for Alien: Isolation, and boy are they a complete treat for longtime fans of the series, both in film and games.
If you pre-order the game, you’ll be able to access two bonus downloadable missions that include most of the original cast of the 1979 Ridley Scott classic, including:
Sigourney Weaver (Ellen Ripley), Tom Skerritt (Dallas), Veronica Cartwright (Lambert), Harry Dean Stanton (Brett), Yaphet Kotto (Parker) and finally Ian Holm (Ash, likeness and sound-alike).
If you pre-order the game at any retailer you’ll get the free upgrade to the “Nostromo Edition,” which comes with the ‘Crew Expendable’ bonus mission. This will let you choose between playing as Ellen Ripley, Dallas, or Parker, mere seconds after Brett’s death. You’ll have to explore the Nostromo, navigating from the habitation deck all the way through engineering, finally leading the Alien to the ship’s airlock.
However, there is a second pre-order bonus that is exclusive to Gamestop, it includes the ‘Last Survivor’ add on. This allows you to play as Ripley, as she tries to escape the Narcissus. You’ll have to find your way back to the Nostromo, so that you can activate the ship’s self destruct sequence.
Alien: Isolation is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on October 7th. You can also read our hands-on preview for the game from E3 2014 here.
