Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors are two long running musou action games by Tecmo Koei, both of which have seen oodles of collaborations in a multitude of other games and products. It’s no surprise that we’ve even seen a Legend of Zelda/Warriors spinoff, but now we’ve caught wind of a …. Horse Derby spinoff?!

Titled Derby Warriors, the game is a mash up of Samurai Warriors 4 and a horse racing game. Tecmo Koei has been known to develop standalone horse racing games like Championship Jockey, however this game is a straight to browser experience where you pick your favorite general and annihilate your enemies – while still participating in a race.

The famous generals Yukimura Sanada, Nobunaga Oda, Oichi, and Shingen Takeda are all available to play as in Derby Warriors. The game is a collaboration between the Japan Racing Association and Tecmo Koei to create a game for the upcoming Japan Derby.
