Harvest Moon: Connect to a New Land is different from previous Harvest Moon games in that you’re allowed to develop your own animal safari.
As you progress through the game’s story, you’ll be able to eventually travel to the safari in game, which is naturally filled with lots of wild animals. You can receive animals via trading and other unspecified means, and let them roam free in the safari. The safari itself is customizable, letting you create environments for the animals like arid mountains or chilling icebergs.
There’s an annual festival that is focused around the safari, allowing the player to invite residents from the town on a tour of the safari. Certain items can only be found in the safari, like rare types of ore or specific plants.
