Yes, No Man’s Sky is Playable Offline as Well

no man's sky 08-23-14-1

No Man’s Sky is an absolutely stunning achievement of a game, and it’s not even out yet. While the technology powering the near limitless universe within the game, many solo gamers have been worried that they can’t enjoy it by themselves.

Now, we’ve learned (via NeoGAF) that No Man’s Sky will indeed be playable offline, details that were confirmed via the currently un-published September issue of Edge magazine. While we still don’t know exactly how playable the game is offline (it may need to perform regular checks to update your world), as the game is an always evolving experience meant to be played online.

So are you guys hyped for No Man’s Sky? Can the game possibly live up to the monumental levels of promise it shows?

Guys… but No Man’s Sky is singleplayer game with only multiplayer feautures.

So it was kinda obvious that this will have also offline mode. I don’t know why but all gaming sites wrote about it… but… I mean… it really is singleplayer game. Even in one of article during E3 they said that you won’t ever meet another player in game.

The only thing you will be able to notice are the choices that other gamers make… and those will influence your gameplay to some extent.

Well in that sense technically darksouls is a singleplayer game with some multiplayer features. But the option to go offline is there.
Also helps that you can play the game without a connection as there are some games that are restricted to online play even in sp titles.

I was about to say that I have yet to see singleplayer game without offline mode… but than I’ve remembered the case of Simcity.

But yeah… unless developer has something wrong with his brain singleplayer means usualy that there is offline mode. Still atm. best for me singleplayer game with multiplayer feautres was Catherine.
