Sega’s internal Yakuza Studio has announced Hokuto ga Gotoku, an entirely new Fist of the North Star game.
The new game is being developed for PlayStation 4, and it’s set for a release sometime next year in Japan. Featured above, you can view the game’s announcement trailer.
Here are the first screenshots:
The action-adventure game stars series protagonist Kenshiro, who is voiced by Yakuza’s Kazuma Kiryu voice actor Takaya Kuroda. It features a completely new story set within the new entertainment district “Eden.”
Kenshiro searches for the city of Eden under the rumor that his long-lost and presumed dead fiancee, Yuria, is living there. Upon discovering the city, he finds it’s completely sealed off from the rest of the world. What will Kenshiro do to gain access, and maybe find his lost love?
It sounds a lot like the Yakuza series, where you’ll be able to freely roam the land, partaking of various activities and various mini-games that help break up the combat scenes.
