We’ve learned that Sega is working on Yakuza Kiwami 2.
The news comes from the Taiwanese PlayStation Store (via NeoGAF), which prematurely posted the game ahead of its planned announcement.
Sega is planning a Yakuza stage presentation for this on August 26th. The listing mentions the game is a full remake of Yakuza 2, and is built within the newest build of the Dragon Engine, which Sega used to make Yakuza 6: The Song of Life.
The first Yakuza Kiwami was released for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in Japan, with a PlayStation 4-only release in North America and Europe.
