We’ve learned (via Games Talk) that Sega’s Yakuza series is doing quite well in sales, with the launch of Yakuza 0 in Japan.
The Playstation 3 and Playstation prequel has sold over 500,000 units in both Japan and Asia. The game saw a release in Japan back on March 12th of this year.
Coming off this, we now know that global sales for the entire Yakuza series have topped 7.5 million units. Finally, Sega reiterated that the Yakuza series will be celebrating its 10th anniversary, on December 10th of this year.
Sega announced at last year’s Playstation Experience that Yakuza 5 would finally be coming west, although no release date has been given since then. Perhaps we’ll find out at next week’s E3? We’ll keep you guys posted.
