Whether you like it or not, Senran Kagura is a series that is a force to be reckoned with at this point. It started off with the original game on the Nintendo 3DS and branched off into a global phenomenon, spawning an anime, figurines, and even more spin off games.

In an interview with our friends over at Siliconera, Executive Vice President of XSEED Games, Ken Berry, talked about how the series has been performing in the West, and if there are any future titles they are considering:

“[Senran Kagura] Burst has done about to expectations. We’re definitely looking at at future titles in the series. We may or may not have an announcement soon.”

XSEED published Killer is Dead, the stylish and over the top action game by Grasshopper Manufacture last year, which apparently didn’t do quite as well, as per Ken’s reply:

“Probably a little below our expectations, because we were really hoping to branch out and hit new fans with that one. But, can’t say that we regret trying it. It was a very stylish and cool game. We gave it our best shot.”

Could this potential announcement be the clear nod to them localizing Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus a few months ago? With Senran Kagura Burst selling well enough, they are considering other games in the series.
