Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition New Gameplay Trailers, Info on Future Connected Scenario, and More

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition

New details have been revealed for Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition; including gameplay trailers, the Future Connected scenario, and more.

Firstly, the information on the Future Connected scenario comes via updates to the Nintendo Japanese website on the game’s extra scenario (Translation: Google Translate, and RPG Site)

Firstly, the scenario takes place in a new area Bionis’ Left Shoulder. The area has a floating island, due to the special minerals there.

The scenario will also feature two new Nopon characters, Keno and Nene. While Keno is shy and dearly misses his father, he also inherited his Ether Gun, a weapon with mysterious powers.

Nene on the other hand is quite motherly to Nene, almost acting as his mother. Despite her cute appearance, she is a power-house in battle.

This new adventure (taking place after the events of the main game) has Shulk without his ability to see into the future, demanding more caution from the player. This also includes Kirino Beasts (“Kiri” meaning fog).

The Kirino Beasts come from black fog. Not only are they powerful, but they have an ability (through vibrations or waves) to cause other nearby enemies to attack Shulk.

Shulk isn’t helpless however. The Nopongers (Nopon Rangers) are surveying the area. By fulfilling their requests, they will aid in battle, and execute powerful special moves alongside Shulk’s party. You can find the images from the update below.

In addition, the Japanese Twitter account for the game has been tweeting new information about the game [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6; Translation: Google Translate].

Along with confirming the player can switch between the original and arranged soundtracks (as Nintendo of Australia already had), players can switch the arrangements of background and battle music independently.

The Quest Log has been updated to be easier to understand, and setting the mission as your active quest will guide you to its location. The money and resources needed to reconstruct Colony 6 is also now displayed.

A list of NPC profiles are also within the game’s menu, listing their routines (when they are active and where) along with the items they wish to trade for. Finally, players can now use “fashion equipment,” to keep the appearance of older weapons or gear while keeping the effects of gear that is genuinely equipped.

Finally, the Japanese Twitter account shared three new trailers, showing off gameplay. You can find them all below.
