Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition

The release date for Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition has been announced, alongside new content; Xenoblade Chronicles: Future Connected.

Revealed during a stealthily released Nintendo Direct Mini today, the new trailer and press release (via Business Wire) reveals the updated HUD, and that some music will be remixed or remastered. In addition, the game will include a new epilogue chapter- Xenoblade Chronicles: Future Connected. 

Finally, the Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Works Set special edition will contain the game, along with a 250-page artbook. No price was revealed at this time, but it will release the same day as the game itself.

The original Xenoblade Chronicles game, which marked the debut of fan-favorite character Shulk, comes to Nintendo Switch with a new epilogue story, Xenoblade Chronicles: Future Connected. This definitive edition of the RPG also looks better and plays smoother than ever before. The battle HUD and menu screens are easy to read and easy to use. Some of the music tracks have been remastered or remixed! Experience the majesty of the Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition game when it launches for Nintendo Switch on May 29. On the same day, the Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Works Set will also launch, featuring a 250-page artbook full of beautiful landscapes, imposing monsters and more.


The Nintendo Direct Mini does mention in its introduction, that due to the coronavirus (officially known as COVID-19, or Chinese Flu to some) that some dates and information may be subject to change.
