Monolith Soft has confirmed the contents of update version 1.4.0 for Xenoblade Chronicles 2
The new update is launching April 27th in Japan, and it brings with it the Poppi Buster and T-elos (Xenosaga) rare blades, among other changes.
Here’s a rundown on the update, via its official website:
Poppi Buster is a Rare Blade that is only obtainable via the Expansion Pass. Designed by Masatsugu Saito, Poppi can be used as a blade for drivers other than Tora, despite being designed for Tora.
You can obtain Poppi Buster through a quest. The yellow antenna things protruding from its head are further explained in its unique quest.
T-elos Re: was added to the game via Bandai Namco. She’s only available once you clear the game, and is designed by CHOCO.
T-elos Re: was first introduced as KOS-MOS’ rival in the Xenosaga series. Her design is a bit cuter from her original version, however, the modeler ensured he would put CHOCO’s vision into the actual in-game model.
When you beat the game, you’ll see a star next to your currency. Once this is obtained, you have met the conditions to meet T-elos Re:.
If you purchased the Expansion Pass, beginning in May you’ll get new quests, more Rare Blades, a new “Extreme” difficulty, as well as new Challenge Battles. There’s also a new Rare Blade that is being designed by a new illustrator, complete with a new voice actor, just for the Expansion Pass.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is now available for the Nintendo Switch. In case you missed it, you can find our thorough review for the game here. It’s highly recommended!
