An Xbox Series X|S feedback survey has asked gamers if they want features seen on PlayStation controllers; undoubtedly referring to haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
TechRadar reports that in a recent “Xbox console experience survey” sent out by Microsoft to Xbox Series X|S players asked not only about their overall experience with the console, but if users were “aware of features on PlayStation controllers that I wish were on” the Xbox controllers.
The features in question are almost certainly from the PlayStation 5 DualSense controller, which boasts haptic feedback and adaptive triggers so players can feel sensations from the game. This includes a bowstring tensing in the triggers, or the rough ride as a car drifts through mud. Both the DualSense and Xbox Wireless Controller feature buttons dedicating to sharing content.
TechRadar note Microsoft added a headphone jack and share button to the Xbox One controller after the features were well received on the PlayStation 4 DualShock controller. Only time will tell if users want the feature, and if Microsoft wish or are able to put it in.
The survey also asks if the Xbox Series X|S “feels ‘next gen,'” and their opinion on the console home screen. We will keep you informed as we learn more.
