Microsoft have announced the release date of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, along with the much awaited price of the system.

While the price of the Xbox Series S was revealed with its announcement (arguably forced by its most credible leak), the consoles’ world premiere launch trailer revealed the console would launch November 10th. This lead to speculation of when the Xbox Series X would launch, not to mention its price.

Microsoft finally broke the speculation with a tweet, revealing both consoles would launch on November 10th. The Xbox Series X will sell for $499 USD (ERP), while the digital-only Xbox Series S will sell for $299 USD (ERP).

On Xbox Wire it was also revealed that Xbox All Access would expand to 12 additional countries, with 24 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $24.99 USD a month. Further, EA Play will be coming to Xbox Game Pass at no additional cost.

With this news, Ubisoft have announced Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be a launch title for the console, along with Xbox Game Studios’ Gears Tactics. 

In earlier news, Bloomberg reported that Sony were allegedly taking a “wait-and-see“ approach to the PlayStation 5’s pricing, according to their sources. This was seemingly motivated by struggling to find parts and a limited production.

These was seemingly alleviated, with Bloomberg later reporting that PlayStation 5 production had reportedly doubled to 10 million. The alleged reason for this was due to the increased demand for gaming due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The ball is now in Sony’s court, with PlayStation trending on Twitter at this time of writing as users beg for a price to be revealed.
