During their E3 press conference, Microsoft finally lifted the veil on the console they first teased last year: Project Scorpio. Officially titled Xbox One X, the console will launch in 2017
Along with this announcement, Microsoft teased One X support for Halo, Gears of War, and Forza Motorsport games, along with Middle Earth: Shadow of War.
As revealed a few months back by Digital Foundry, the console features an octacore CPU clocked at 2.3 GHz, 40 GPU compute units clocked at 1172MHz, and 12GB of GDDR5 RAM. With this, Xbox One X will have six teraflops of computational power. over 4.5 times more power than the original Xbox One. With this power, Scorpio is able to run Forza Motorsport 6 and 4k 60FPS while using only about 60% of the GPU.
