Xbox One Upcoming “Surprise Me” Button Picks Random Games From Your Backlog

Microsoft have announced new features coming to their Alpha Skip-Ahead program (public testing of their Xbox One operating system), including the ability to randomly select a game from your collection.

Xbox Insider detailed the newest updates to the work-in-progress OS on Twitter, including home dashboard customization. The other included the “Surprise me” function.

“The Surprise me button in Alpha Skip-Ahead users’ Collections, located in the upper right of My Games & Apps, can help determine what to play next! Use it today.”

According to users on r/XboxOne and footage of the program in action, the game does not automatically boot up, allowing users to go to the official Microsoft club for the game, visit the game’s store page, or cancel out if you want to re-roll it.

There is currently no planned date for when this feature will come to all Xbox One Users.

Will this result in you revisiting some classics? Or will you endlessly hit the button? Sound off in the comments below!
