Xbox One S Will Be Available on August 2

Microsoft has announced the release date for the Xbox One S.

The newest Xbox One model will be available for sale on August 2nd, 2016.

The new model is 40% smaller than the original Xbox One, and supports 4K resolution for movies and streaming with High Dynamic Range (HDR). Video games are also supported by HDR.

You can buy the 2 TB option for $499 USD, the 1 TB option for $349 USD, and the 500 GB option for $299 USD.

    Better off just upgrading my computer. This GTX 750 ti just isn’t cutting it anymore

    I currently have a GTX 960 and it extremely great and not at a bad price point if you are looking for a nice and budgeted upgrade. :)

    I only play one game at a time and have excellent broadband so I’m glad consoles stil have the cheap option. But if you’re stuck with bad download speeds re-downloading content can be a bitch.

    Or download caps, those are still a thing in some parts of the world. But games are only 40-70Gb this gen which isn’t too large.

    I didn’t know it was supposed to be $399 USD actually. I thought it was +$50 per 500 gigs added.

    Huh, I expected the XBOX One S to be released a lot sooner than that. I may get one around 2017. In the meantime, I’ll just get the VCR version. Also, decent price drop of the previous models when?
