That’s a pretty tempting price for the Sunset Overdrive edition of the console. I don’t have any interest in the game itself, but I’ve already a PS4 and a penchant for anything limited edition.

That said, I’m not exactly sure if anything is releasing on the Xbox One that I can’t already play on either my PC or PS4 (that I’m actually looking forward to). To anyone who is more well informed about upcoming Xbone releases than I, is there anything of note that’s exclusive to the console?

You know what’s kinda sad?.. that even with price drops I don’t really see any point in buying Xbox One. I mean if you want niche games than it makes way more sense to buy either 3DS or Vita. If you don’t have PS3 than buy it as fast as you can.

Xbox One is dead in Japan. Way more dead than Xbox 360 ever was. New and shiny Xbox One is selling about the same number of copies as Vita TV. About 700-800 copies per week. For country which has about 130kk that’s like nothing. But frankly speaking even PS4 is doing very poorly as it is selling worse than 4 years old Vita.

Why should anyone bother with this? Simple, if those consoles won’t sold in JP there won’t be any jRPG or niche games. Look the only jRPG made ONLY for PS4/Xbox One are Type-0 (bullshit, that’s Vita game with Vita level of graphic), FF XV (not jRPG anymore… well… it’s not even RPG) and KH3 (game phantom)… see only SE is TRYING to make games for next gen consoles.

Whole rest are playing safe: either PS3/PS4 or Vita/PS4… again xbox 360 is also dead.

I couldnt agree more with what youve stated the sale wont do them much good because theres no major exclusives to go along with; which is why I suspect there even doing this sale to begin with. I also agree that its critical of them to make Xbox One succeed in Japan, not only that but they need to double down on localization of those niche games out of the Asia region. At this point I can’t in good faith recomend the console or have a reason myself to buy one, unless of course the Xbox division does a 180 and ends the ban on AO or Pegi 18 games (18+); I would totally be cool with that :)

I believe its the Halo Master Chief collection in terms of exclusives, other than that I think its wait till E3; assuming your cool with that?
