The Xbox One has come under a lot of critical fire from fans for not outputting it’s games in 1080p and 60fps like many PS4 games have been able to do.
Phil Spencer took to twitter and states that the Xbox One is fully capable of performing to these specs and it’s up to the developers how they want their games to run. Forza Motorsport 5 runs in 1080p and 60fps but a lot of the cross platform games such as Call of Duty and Battlefield 4 run noticeably better on PS4.
@Wa1e_ devs will decide res and fps but yes, there are already 1080p games on xbox one.

We ran a story a couple weeks ago stating that people were saying that taking the Kinect out of the Xbox One would unlock some of it’s CPU and GPU power. Phil Spencer wants you to keep using the Kinect.
@AntonioBartoloM You don’t need to unplug anything. Kinect will work great when it should and games will do what they need to do to use GPU

So what is the deal? Is this just damage control from Microsoft or are developers purposely making Xbox One games perform worse?
