Microsoft has announced a new Xbox Games Showcase for this year, bringing the fan-favorite event back alongside a surprise Gears of War direct.

The new Xbox Games Showcase is set to premiere Sunday, June 7th at 10 AM Pacific / 1 PM Eastern and will be followed immediately by the Gears of War: E-Day direct. You’ll be able to watch it on YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook.

Fans can expect the new broadcast to feature “first gameplay looks and huge news on upcoming titles from our first-party studios across the Xbox family, as well as our third-party partners around the globe – from the biggest franchises to soon-to-be indie darlings.”

The new Gears of War: E-Day direct will bring with it new details, gameplay and insights about the origin story to the Gears of War franchise.

Lastly, Microsoft is bringing back Xbox FanFest at the showcase to celebrate Xbox’s 25th anniversary. Fans can expect that experience to include “a look back at the last 25 years, alongside a forward view of what’s next.”
