Microsoft has announced a new Xbox credit card for their users in the United States, with new credit lines going out this month.

The new Xbox credit card will be issued via Barclays and has no annual fee. Fans can expect hte new card to be available on September 21st but only for Xbox Insiders. The program will roll out to all Xbox players in 2024.


“The Xbox Mastercard allows cardmembers to earn card points with everyday purchases and redeem those points on games and add-ons at xbox.com,” said Dave McCarthy, corporate VP of Xbox player services.

Cardholders will be eligible for 5x points on qualifying purchases within the Microsoft Store, as well as 3x points for various eligible dining services like DoorDash and Grubhub, as well as streaming platforms like Netflix and Disney+.

To encourage adoption of the swanky new Xbox credit card, Microsoft will give users 5,000 card points ($50 value) after their first purchase, as well as 3 months of Game Pass Ultimate for a new member, which you can also gift to someone.

Lastly, players will be able to pick from five card designs (seen above) as well as put their Xbox gamertag on the card. APR rates are a bit steep and range from 20.99% to 31.99%.
