Great news for fans of the Worms series, the upcoming Revolution Extreme edition of Worms is heading to Playstation Vita. Developer Team 17 has also revealed that the Vita game is coming sooner than we thought – October 8th!

Worms Revolution Extreme comes with a huge single player campaign spanning 72 levels, each level being a mix of missions and puzzles. Environments you can expect in the game run the gamut of sewers, farmyards, beaches, Mars, and so on.

Revolution Extreme comes with a new Treasure Mode, a gift giving mode that works between the Vita version and the Playstation 3 original. In this mode, players can help each other unlock gifts using a lock and key system.

Worms Revolution Extreme features cross-save functionality, and it also has touch functionality as well, letting you select items and pan/zoom the camera. The rear touch will also let you aim your weapons.
