Sony has announced worldwide PlayStation 4 shipments have topped 94.2 million units.
The news came via their latest financial results for the three months ending in December 31st of last year. Roughly 8.1 million PlayStation 4 consoles were shipped in the third quarter, a figure down 0.9 million from the same time period in the previous fiscal year.
Sony’s previous shipping forecast of 17.5 million PlayStation 4 consoles to be shipped in the 2018 fiscal year (which runs from April 1st, 2018 to March 31st, 2019) hasn’t been changed. With some basic math, Sony is still looking to move over 9 million PlayStation 4 units in the next two months.
