World of Warcraft Expansion Battle for Azeroth Set for Summer 2018 Release

Blizzard has announced the release window for World of Warcraft’s next expansion: Battle for Azeroth.

While a date wasn’t confirmed, the developer said its expansion will drop on or before September 21st of this year – meaning it will probably launch this summer.

If you pre-purchase the expansion, you’ll get a free boost to the current level cap of 110, as well as a head start to unlock the Allied Races in the full expansion when it launches.

Battle for Azeroth is an attempt to bring the long-running MMORPG to its real-time strategy roots by pitting the Alliance and the Horde against one another once again.

As both factions compete to reclaim their land, you’ll be able to even embark on an RTS mode in the new Warfront instances, as well as fight in 20-player cooperative raids against an NPC commander and its army – the first of which is the redone Stromgarde Keep in the old vanilla World of Warcraft zone Arathi Highlands.
