World of Warcraft’s latest update, version 8.2.5, is bringing with it a number of changes – most importantly visual upgrades to the goblin and worgen races.
When all the original races got a visual upgrade in the Warlords of Draenor expansion, Blizzard skipped the goblins and worgen as they were still a bit too new – both of which were released in the Cataclysm expansion.
The new update will add an improved overall look for both races, more visual options when creating your character, and of course – new animations.
While a release date isn’t known, the ongoing update release schedule and the encroaching World of Warcraft Classic release point to the 8.2.5 update hitting the Public Test Realms soon, and soon after, the live servers.
World of Warcraft is currently available for Windows PC and Mac. The game’s vanilla re-release, World of Warcraft Classic, is launching on August 27th.
