Wargaming have released the details of their events coming to World of Tanks to celebrate the game’s 10 year anniversary.
As detailed in the press release, Wargaming are celebrating the 10th anniversary of World of Tanks across four months. These include events, surprises, and retro missions.
Five “thematic acts” will be spread out over the months, starting April 22nd. Each act reflects a milestone in the game’s history. The first of these acts is running now, until May 18th (at 06:00AM BST). This first act will also see the General Chat return from April 22nd to April 29th in Random Battles.
During the acts, players can win Anniversary Coins, which in turn can be exchanged for items and exclusive customization parts in the Anniversary Store. Completing all five acts will reward players with the 3D style for the T30.
Publishing Director Max Chuvalov stated his thanks to the community.
“For the team and I, the past 10 years have allowed us to make more than a successful game – it has seen the formation of one big, global family. On behalf of the World of Tanks team, I want to say a heartfelt thank you to our players over the years. You’ve stuck with us through different stages of the game’s development and helped us to create one of the most impactful MMOs in the gaming history. As a reward, we have prepared a lot of exciting activities and additions, things that will surprise and please you – all in celebration of 10 amazing years. And remember, together, we can continue to create amazing experiences. So, let the party begin!”
The press release that since the game launched, it has grown to include 600 vehicles, over 160 million players worldwide, 4 Golden Joystick awards, and the Guinness World Record for the most players simultaneously logged on to an MMO server.
