With all the simulators out there, it’s kind of a shame there isn’t more aquatic/underwater simulators. For now, there’s Vertigo Games’ World of Diving, which is currently on Steam Early Access.

The game has gotten Oculus Rift support, but now it’s getting a pretty interesting World War II themed content update, which is now available for the game at no extra cost. The game is described as a procedurally generated underwater diving simulator, but you can also play it with friends as well.

The World War II update brings with it the sunken remains of the German battleship Bismarck, one of the two largest battleships ever commissioned by Nazi Germany, and it saw use in the Nazi fleet in the year 1940. Despite her size and firepower, she only saw one battle, where the vessel sank the British battle cruisier HMS Hood, only to be later sunk herself by the British in 1941.

Bismarck is the first ship in World of Diving that will let players to freely enter and explore, straight from the underwater environment. Also coming with this new content update is the ROV (remote operated vehicle), which acts as a guide and light when you’re exploring those especially dark areas.
