Night Dive studios has been on a bit of a tear lately, with a recent update to System Shock bringing it up to modern standards as well as letting it work on modern operating systems as well. Continuing this trend of fixing and updating older games is a recent patch for Sir-Tech’s Wizardry 8.
Though it’s only a patch, this fix updates the 3DFX driver in the game to a newer, more compatible version that should alleviate some of the RPG’s Windows 10 problems. The patch also corrects launch issues on Mac as well as updates Wine to 1.7.54.
There’s no word on when this fix will be applied to the GOG version, but it should make it there eventually.
