Witness the Story of Tasukete Tako-San: Save me Mr Tako

We haven’t heard much about Christophe Galati’s Tasukete Tako-San: Save me Mr Tako, but now we’ve gotten another look at the Game Boy-styled game.

Featured above, Galati has published a new trailer for the game, showcasing its story. If you’re in need of a refresher – the story is focused on Tako the octopus, who after saving a human from drowning in the sea, is granted the ability to breathe air from a fairy.

The catch? Tako can never hate a human again – so instead he adventures through the world, saving humans in each level. Tako is able to make use of a large number of powers, with over 35 hats. Galati is reportedly trying to have over 50 powers for Tako in the game.

Tasukete Tako-San: Save me Mr Tako is coming to Wii U eShop and Steam, some time in 2016.

This game literally looks just like Link’s Awakening. Considering that game probably has my favorite aesthetic ever in a game (except for some Neo Geo Pocket Color fighting games) this is not a problem.

I hope I don’t forget about this when it launches since I want to be all over this.

Day 1 WiiU purchase. I shall play this on the shitter for maximum Game Boy nostalgia.

It’ll be like nothing changed. *sniff*

Before reading the details, I thought this was going to be an old import game that I never heard of before. Going to be keeping an eye on this one.
