Horror versions of public domain IPs (especially Disney ones) appears to be the new meme and Blood and Honey is on the forefront of it, having been one of the earliest projects to be announced after Winnie-the-Pooh went public domain.

Steamboat Willie appears to be getting similar treatment with a horror game announced within days of the Mickey Mouse property going public domain earlier this year.
