Win an Xbox One by Drinking Mountain Dew or Consuming Doritos

Yep, it finally happened. Microsoft confirmed that they’re having a Mountain Dew and Doritos sweepstakes to win an Xbox One.

The console itself was teased in a tweet from @Hendrick88Team:

So how do you win that gloriously skinned Xbox One? All you have to do is get an Xbox One contest branded Mountain Dew or bag of Doritos and redeem the code on this website, Every 2 Minutes, which is where the sweepstakes itself happens.

Apparently there is a limit of 1,000 Codes per person/Account and a point limit of 150,000 points per person/Account, meaning you can redeem as much as you want, but there will be a limit as surely there will be people going nuts over this.

So this contest runs from November 5th, 2013 and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on December 9th, 2013. During that time, all you have to do is redeem one code every day that will get you a daily sweepstake point. These points can be used towards the daily sweepstakes that will have random winners selected from.

Coming from this, each code you redeem will earn you points, which can be spent on the Marketplace where the auctions happen. It’s still not clear what else will be auctioned off, but you’ll definitely be able to bid on an Xbox One, which comes in various packages, you can see them all below:

This is the standard auction, which comes with a standard black Xbox One, not the Mountain Dew themed one you see above.

This is the advanced auction, which comes with a yet to be revealed custom themed Xbox One (different from the one above), a free year of Xbox Live Gold, and a code for exclusive DLC for whichever game you choose.

Now here is where things get interesting, the premium auction comes with all the previous reward tiers but it also comes with a “once in a life time experience” added in. What could this be?

Whatever it is, I’m sure it’ll make some winners people happy. Now, without further adieu – go drink some dew! I’m so sorry, I really am.
