Will Ferrell is the funnyman from various television shows and movies, my personal favorite easily being Anchorman. Aside from being funny, he’s also not a fan of cancer – although I don’t think anyone is.
To help fight cancer and raise money towards a good cause – he’s going to play video games and stream them live via Twitch TV on October 26th. There’s a catch though – he’s only going to hold this event if fans raise at least $375,000 dollars.
The funding is happening through crowd-funding website Indiegogo, where his campaign has multiple reward tiers for various amounts of money. Most of the reward tiers under a hundred dollars even sound like something he’d suggest as a joke, like “Will Ferrell’s Gamer Sunscreen”, although the higher tiers have actual personal addressing from Will himself to the person donating.
If you donate at least $10 dollars, however, you’ll be entered into a contest where the winner(s?) will be chosen to play games live with Ferrell at the Twitch headquarters, in San Francisco.
