Western Pre-Order Bonuses, Combat Styles, New Gameplay Revealed for Berserk Musou

Koei Tecmo has confirmed the pre-order bonuses for Berserk and the Band of the Hawk, alongside sharing new gameplay and new details for its combat.

If you pre-order the game, you’ll get a set of six stylish costumes via Amazon, Best Buy, EB Games, and GameStop. These include the White Swordsman and Golden Swordsman costumes for Guts, allowing him to switch out his famous Black Swordsman costume for a fresh look, the Golden Hawk and Black Hawk costumes for Griffith, replacing his bright white outfit for darker shades, and the Pirate and Blue Stripe costumes for Schierke, switching her dark robes for a more cheerful design.

Koei Tecmo also shared new details for the game’s combat styles:

A lone mercenary and the series’ main protagonist, Guts wields an impressive array of powerful weapons to choose from, and each alters the pace of gameplay. For example, utilizing his massive Dragonslayer Great Sword allows for devastating attacks, and players will subsequently feel the weight of the weapon throughout battle. Similarly, players can enjoy customized playstyles tailored to the other playable characters, like Griffith’s rapid sword attacks and Schierke’s magical powers.

Utilizing a vast array of different weapon styles, players will slash and smash their way through gripping battles in Berserk and the Band of the Hawk. Attacks become more ferocious as a fight rages on, allowing players to smash monsters against walls or slash them in two with a single strike! However, during the course of his adventures Guts encounters creatures known as Apostles – giant demonic monsters that possess deadly attacks. Unlike other enemies, typical battle strategies will not work on these beasts, and players must make swift tactical decisions in order to take them down. These exciting sequences aim to perfectly capture the tense, action-packed style of Berserk.

Here’s some new gameplay for Guts, Griffith, and various bosses:

Berserk and the Band of the Hawk is set for an October 27th release in Japan on PS4, PS3, and Vita, with a western release coming in February on PS4, PS Vita, and PC. North America will get the game on the 21st, while Europe will get it on the 24th.

Will we be getting Casca’s dlc for her wet clothes? I can see something like that getting censored sadly.

Honestly with all the bitching and moaning the usual special snowflakes do, I’d be surprise if KT did released Casca’s wet costume here.

Wasn’t it supposed to be a pre-order DLC? Seems like it’s cut if that’s the case.
Kinda suck, even if I don’t care for Casca. Schierke is the superior waifu after all.

Just because it’s not a preorder over here doesn’t mean we still won’t get it. It not being a preorder is not the problem, us not getting it at all is.

I think you should probably start worrying already, unless KT decided to go full jew and make it paid-DLC because they know lewdinators will give money for it. (and they’re right, I’d give 30 bux for a swimsuit outfit)

Yeah, it seems like pre-ordering would make the costume a “standard” & they may not want to make it standard.

I’m still curious if they’ll dub it. Because the Berserk English cast is glorious.

Pretty sure it won’t be coming. Can also bet most of the more mature aspects will be taken out. But at least US gets improved blood gore and dismemberment. Yay…

Her 2 DLC costumes are an insult to the manga but expect it to stick, as the actual Warriors games also have underwear DLC costumes for the women. On a T rating too. Who would also care, Dragon Ball is more sexual explicit that this game.
