Week-Long Warhammer Skulls Premieres June 3; New Game Announcements and Deals

Warhammer Skulls

Games Workshop have announced the return of Warhammer Skulls, bringing with it deals and new Warhammer game announcements.

Previously known as “Skulls for the Skull Throne” (in reference to the phrase often uttered by worshipers of chaos god Khorne), Warhammer Skulls will reveal new Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 video games. The developers for both Warhammer Vermintide 2 and Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor have both hinted at announcements.

Our resident Warhammer aficionado Frank Streva proposes the teaser for Warhammer Vermintide 2 may be for a new subclass for the Elf.

The press release (via email) confirms the week-long event will have brand new titles from studios old and new, along with updates to “long standing fan favorites.” There will also be offers across several stores (much like the prior year, which even had sales on games with crossover content), and event only free-to-keep titles.

The Warhammer Community Twitter has confirmed the involvement of Steam, Xbox, GOG, Oculus (thereby possibly confirming a VR game), NVidia, Sega, Creative Assembly, FatShark, Focus Home Interactive, Slitherine, and Nacon. More information on the upcoming Total War: Warhammer III is almost certain to be revealed.

We shall keep you informed as we learn more.

Warhammer Skulls begins June 3rd 10:00 a.m. PT via Twitch.
