Wayfinder relaunching as paid co-op title with no online requirements

Wayfinder

Airship Syndicate has announced a relaunch for Wayfinder after they obtained ownership of the game from Digital Extremes.

A new “Echoes” update will get a soft-release for founders of the game for PC on May 31st, removing the game’s online requirement and making it a single-player experience with optional co-op play and no microtransactions.

A full launch for the update is planned on June 11th, where it’ll become a paid-only release at $24.99 and will become available for sale once again (it’s currently not for sale).

Wayfinder will leave early access sometime this fall and will now include an Xbox Series X|S version alongside its PC and PS5 versions – the PS4 version is being shut down and owners can upgrade to the PS5 version for free.

Wayfinder has been available on Windows PC (via Steam), PS4, and PS5. In case you missed it – check out our thorough preview!
