Publisher Ubisoft and developer Ubisoft Toronto have announced a delay for the online multiplayer component for Watch Dogs: Legion.

The online multiplayer update will forgo its planned December 3rd release for one a bit later – in spring of next year.

“As part of our commitment to fixing the game’s issues, we’ve decided to delay the Online mode of Watch Dogs: Legion to early 2021,” Ubisoft said in the update. “This will allow us to focus on fixing issues with single player, and it will give us more time to test the online experience to help ensure a smooth launch of the mode.”

While the multiplayer update was delayed, Ubisoft is still releasing the 2.20 update this week for Windows PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X+S, and Stadia this week, adding a manual Save Game button to the PC version, as well as irons out some bugs and crash errors on the console versions. Watch Dogs: Legion is now available for Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store, and UPlay), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X+S, and Google Stadia.
