Watch Dogs: Legion, Gods & Monsters, and Rainbow Six Quarantine Delayed to FY 2020-2021

Ubisoft has announced a delay for Watch Dogs: LegionGods & Monsters, and Rainbow Six Quarantine.

The games will forgo their planned 2020 release for sometime in fiscal year 2020 to 2021, which begins April 1st, 2020 and ends on March 31st, 2021.


“We have decided to postpone the releases of Gods & MonstersRainbow Six Quarantine, and Watch Dogs: Legion until 2020 to 2021,” Ubisoft co-founder and chief executive officer Yves Guillemot said in a press release.

He added, “While each of these games already has a strong identity and high potential, we want our teams to have more development time to ensure that their respective innovations are perfectly implemented so as to deliver optimal experiences for players. This decision will have a very significant impact on our financial results for this fiscal year and goes against our recent successes in building a more stable development model. However, it is in line with our strategy to maximize the future value of our brands for the longterm benefit of our employees, players and shareholders. We expect it to have a positive impact on our financial performance as from 2020 to 2021.”

Gods & Monsters was set for a release on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and Stadia on February 25th, 2020, while Watch Dogs: Legion was set to release for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Stadia on March 6th, 2020. Lastly, Rainbow Six Quarantine was set for an early 2020 release across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
