Watch Dogs: Legion Aiden Pearce Post-Launch DLC, Stormzy, and Recruitment

Watch Dogs: Legion

Ubisoft have announced new details about Watch Dogs: Legion; including the return of Aiden Pearce, recruiting NPCs, and Stormzy adding a music video to the game.

Firstly; British rapper, singer and songwriter Stormzy has announced he will be appearing in the game, and how his music video Rainfall will appear in a mission within the game.

Next, recruitment was explained more in-depth. As stated in prior trailers, anyone can be hired to join the rebellion. To hire them, you hack into their profile (seeing what skills and abilities they have, even those that are a hindrance).

After this, you talk to them to learn what will convince them to join you- usually completing a mission. More powerful recruits are harder to find, and have more useful and unique abilities; such as robotic bees.

Each individual can then choose unlocked weapons and gadgets, letting you craft your team however you wish.

Finally, it was revealed that Aiden Pearce from the first Watch Dogs game will be returning. He has his own story arc, and will be available through the game’s season pass post-launch. Players will seemingly still be able to use Pearce in the main game.

You can find an abridged rundown (via the official website) below.

WELCOME TO THE RESISTANCE
BUILD A RESISTANCE AND FIGHT BACK.

Mass surveillance, private militaries controlling the streets, organised crime… Enough! It’s time to end oppression. Recruit a well-rounded resistance to overthrow the opportunists ruining this once-great city. The fate of London lies with you.

PLAY AS ANYONE
ANYONE CAN BE YOUR WEAPON

Every Londoner has a reason to fight back. Explore the open world to find your next recruit. Each character is fully playable, has their own backstory, personality, and skill set — all of which comes into play as you personalise your team and choose the right operatives to best confront the challenges ahead.

TAKE BACK LONDON
SHOW THE CITY WHAT YOU’VE GOT.

Explore a massive urban open world and visit London’s many famous landmarks – including Big Ben, Tower Bridge, Camden, Piccadilly Circus or Whitechapel.

PLAY YOUR WAY
OR EXPERIMENT WITH PLAYSTYLES.

Tackle missions choosing from a wide range of weapons, a brand-new melee system or stealth abilities. The way you approach combat has real consequences. If you use non-lethal force, the enemy will attempt to subdue and arrest you. If you shoot to kill, you risk having your characters permanently killed.

GET THE GANG TOGETHER
BRING YOUR FRIENDS INTO THE MESS.

Giving London back to the people doesn’t have to be some heroic solo jaunt, ya know. Bring the fight online to join forces with up to three friends as you take on entirely new co-op missions and challenging end-game content.

Watch Dogs: Legion launches October 29th for Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store, and UPlay), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and Holiday 2020 for PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
