Wasteland 2 has been available to early backers of its kickstarter for quite some time now. InXile Entertainment has revealed that the game’s next big update will be coming tomorrow, and that it will bring a whole host of new content for the game.
The new update will add new inventory user interfaces, map locations, animations, and more. The game is still being developed in testing phases and the team is still considering suggestions, however inXile plans to focus on bug testing within three months. Brian Fargo took to the game’s blog to talk about their progress:
We know better than to give an exact date at this point because in addition to pushing the game in the ways we’d planned, we’re going to continue to incorporate player comments that make sense for us to address. But we are in the final stretch and are thankful our backers have consistently agreed we should take the time we need … But do be aware the end of this three month plan does not represent the finish line, at that point there will still be work to do before we can release the game.
As mentioned in his post, the game still has no release date in sight, despite it missing several of its expected ship dates.
