Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate Announced for PC, PS4, and Switch

The latest Famitsu (via Ryokutya2089) has revealed Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate.

The newly upgraded version is coming to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch sometime this December, in Japan, and sometime in February 2020 for Windows PC. It’s worth pointing out the western release of Warriors Orochi 4 had an Xbox One version, so it’s likely the western version will include one too (once it’s announced).

Koei Tecmo is offering an “Upgrade Pack” for owners of the original game alongside the standalone release, which includes the new content in the upgraded release.

The new version of the game will include over 170 playable characters from previous games in the series. Gaia is an entirely new character that uses Hecatoncheires as her weapon(s) in battle. While in battle she rides the giant’s arm to move, and puts out attacks with its many arms. Joan of Arc is returning as a playable character as well.

There are new Sacred Treasures in the new version, as well as a new co-op technique called “Musou Switch Combo,” which lets three characters repeatedly use Musou attacks to get more experience than normally acquired.

Lastly, the game has gameplay mechanics refinements with controls and overall playability, better interfaces, more side stories, more stories with the core story and main characters, and more.
