This week in Warhammer – Chaos Cultists and Leviathan Siege Dreadnoughts

Games Workshop have previewed the next batch of Warhammer preorders coming this weekend, and it’s all about reinforcements for your Chaos armies alongside the highly anticipated plastic Leviathan Siege Dreadnought.

As with every Sunday preview, Games Workshop released a short intro video showing off the upcoming releases and what gamers can expect from this week’s batch of Warhammer Community articles, Twitch streams, and Warhammer+ content.

Starting out the list of preorders are several of the new kits Chaos Space Marine players have been expecting since their new codex released a few weeks back.

These include the new Chaos Cultists kit, the new Dark Commune HQ choice, and individual releases for the new plastic Chosen and Warpsmith kits that first released earlier this year as part of the Eldritch Omens box.

There is also a new Warpforged set that contains the plastic Obliterators and Venomcrawler that originally released with the Shadowspear box in 2019, finally giving hobbyists a way to get the kits by themselves.

Moving back in time 10,000 years, Horus Heresy players will be able to get their hands on one of the highly anticipated plastic Leviathan Siege Dreadnought kits.

This particular model is the close combat variant, and comes equipped with siege drills or claws. The close combat weapon sprue will eventually also be sold directly through the GW webstore once the ranged variant of the Leviathan comes out.

Moving on to the Black Library releases, 40k fans will be able to get a Special Edition version of Guy Haley’s The Devastation of Baal novel.

This popular novel details the siege of the Blood Angels’ homeworld by Hive Fleet Leviathan, a campaign that saw over 30,000 Space Marines scramble to defend Baal. Each of these leather-bound editions are signed by the author, with only 1250 copies being printed.

Finally, some new 40k merch is releasing soon courtesy of McFarlane Toys. These new figures include a Chaos Space Marine bearing the Black Legion colors, as well as artist proof versions of a Chaos Space Marine and Dark Angels Primaris Intercessor.

All of these Warhammer items will be up for preorder on July 23rd, with a full release coming the following Saturday.
