Latest Warhammer 40,000 KILL TEAM: Into the Dark boxset shows off its Gallowdark setting

In the new summer boxset for the Warhammer 40,000 Kill Team game, Games Workshop is taking us aboard the Gallowdark, a derelict space cruiser that has been left drifting through the cosmos within a Space Hulk.

Space Hulks are not a singular ship, but rather the collection of dozens, if not hundreds or thousands of destroy vessels floating throughout space as mass of floating junk.

They are often the site of a Terminator mission seen in games such as Space Hulk: Deathwing, but that is not always the case. Sometimes ships are simply abandoned and thus, cargo and loot can be found in great abundance on these massive spacecrafts.

In the new boxset, we will see two factions working to try to uncover the secrets and rewards found upon just such a ship. The Two factions that will appear in the box will be the Imperial Breachers, and the Kroot Kinband

The new Kill Team Box will function as a self-contained game complete with two teams to play as. This is essentially the same way that Warhammer 40,000 has the 9th edition boxset and Warhammer Age of Sigmar has the Dominion Boxset.

You may also buy new teams to play with the game afterwards. But as a beginner, everything you will need can be found in a boxset for a more affordable price than buying separately. You’ll be able to get the new sets over on the official Games Workshop online store.
