Slitherine have announced Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in early December.
Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector first released on Windows PC back in July, and will be making its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on December 2nd. This console release will launch alongside versions for the Windows Store, as well as Xbox Game Pass. The only feature that will not transfer to the console version is asynchronous (Play-By-E-Mail) multiplayer; though it will include local multiplayer instead.
This announcement was accompanied by some information about the future of the game. Player can look forward to a tournament system, as well as new Army Cohesion mechanics in multiplayer designed to discourage spam armies.
The first round of DLC packs were also announced. The Blood Angels Elites pack adds Assault Terminators (with options to wield either Lightning Claws or the classic Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield combo), and Dante’s personal Sanguinary Guard.
Meanwhile, the Tyranid Elites pack adds the Broodlord to bolster the combat prowess of your Genestealers, and the Hive Guard, which can carry either Shock or Impaler Cannons. Finally, developer Black Lab Games have teased that a new faction will be announced on December 14th, during Sliterine’s Home of the Wargamers event.
