Warframe‘s new event, Gargoyle’s Cry, is the painless way of completing arcanes that you were waiting for.
Gargoyle’s Cry is an ongoing Dojo event set to run for roughly a month, and it rewards players with a unique Signa cosmetic, sigils, decorations, a color palette, and more importantly, Arcanes.
The Signa is locked for now, as it’s a community effort to unlock it, but everything else can be acquired right now, so it’s best you read our guide and get grinding.
Before we start looking at the rewards and how to acquire them, we need to talk about requirements.
Players are required to have finished all main story quests up to Whispers in the Walls, as well as be part of a Dojo that has placed a Vigile Jahu Gargoyle statue decoration.
The Gargoyle statue is extremely important because it’s where players will deposit curses, as well as purchase items from.
With the requirements out of the way, here’s how the event works: Players must complete the Effervo assassination mission on Deimos to earn different curses and grotesque splinters, which are the main currency of the event.
There are three different types of curses, which are used to fill up the statue. Once a certain number of statues are filled, everyone will be able to purchase to the Krios Signa for one grotesque splinter.
The grotesque splinters are the currency you’ll use to actually purchase items, and they drop from the Effervo boss in 1-3 quantities. Steel Path runs will reward players with 3-5 splinters, so if your equipment is good enough then that’s a much faster way of doing things.
Each mission also houses a void angel, which players need to kill in order to keep their curse. It’s worth noting that the void angel also gives you void plumes to increase your Zariman reputation.
Now, why would you want to do this event? Well, each run of the Effervo node gives you a guaranteed melee arcane, on top of that, you can use the splinters to buy arcanes that are really difficult/expensive to complete, like Arcane Energize, and the void angels also have the chance to drop an arcane from they loot pool.
This event has essentially condensed multiple farms into one, as DE is making arcanes more and more accessible to non-hardcore players. Gone are the days of running eidolons until your eyes bleed, as a simple and steady grind will now get you set up with whatever arcane you want.
Warframe is available on Microsoft Windows (Through Steam), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
