Welcome back to Waifu Wednesday, Niche Gamer’s column where we talk about characters, their appeal, and a little on their history.
This week’s waifu is Wishy! An indie VTuber who specializes in first person shooters.
Wishy is a self-described “shortstack tacticow”, with a cute character design which combines a cow girl with tactical gear, both of which I’m sure are someone’s fetish.
Wishy is a so-called “PNGTuber”, meaning her model is largely a flat (there’s nothing flat about her character design though) image with minimal rigging but a few bells and whistles to give the illusion of movement. Her latest model has mouth movements and jiggle physics which has been met with approval by her fans.
