Welcome back to Waifu Wednesday, Niche Gamer’s column where we talk about characters, their appeal, and a little on their history.
This week’s waifu is Wishy! An indie VTuber who specializes in first person shooters.
Wishy is a self-described “shortstack tacticow”, with a cute character design which combines a cow girl with tactical gear, both of which I’m sure are someone’s fetish.
Wishy recently been using a PNG model, meaning her model is largely a flat (there’s nothing flat about her character design though) image with minimal rigging but a few bells and whistles to give the illusion of movement. Her latest model has mouth movements and jiggle physics which has been met with approval by her fans.

She also has a Live2D model and is currently working on making her own.
As a gamer, Wishy mostly plays games like Battlefield, ARMA, Day Z, and other games featuring tactical survival or combat.
