Volition claimed they have “no plans” to remake the first two games of the Saints Row series after being asked by a fan.

In a Twitter thread celebrating the 17th anniversary of the first game, one user mentioned that the first two games ought to be remastered as they haven’t aged well.

The official Saints Row account responded bluntly, saying there were no plans to remake those games.

The statement came as a surprise to some fans given the recent Saints Row (2022) reboot performed poorly. While it did technically turn a profit, the game seemingly failed to meet expectations.

Saints Row has been available since August 2022 on Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Check out our thorough review on the game here!
