The 4th version (V4X) for the Vocaloid twins Rin and Len is well on it’s way. With the release date looming sometime in December, Crypton has elaborated a bit on the software’s capabilities in the new version, as well as recommendations for each voice bank available for the twins.
Rin will have 4 available voice banks; Power, Warm, Sweet, and English.
The Power bank is meant to show a powerful and cute but fierce voice. It’s recommended for 50-170 BPM (Beats Per Minute), and a range from F2 to E4. The Warm bank is a gentler voice that is meant for 50-160 BPM and a range of F2 to C4. The Sweet bank is more whispery and makes use of breath effects. It is recommended to use 55-155 BPM and a range of G2 to D4.
And lastly, Rin will receive an English voice bank that is meant for 55-155 BPM and a range of G2 to B3.
On the other hand, Len will also have 4 voice banks; Power, Cold, Serious and English.
Len’s Power bank is similar to Rin’s featuring a strong and powerful voice. It is recommended for 60-170 BPM and a range of D2 to D4. The Cold bank is a calmer voice and is made for 60-160 BPM and a range of E2 to C4. The Serious bank is Len’s counterpart to Rin’s Sweet bank with a whispery tone. It’s made for 55-155 BPM and a range of F2 to C4. Len will also get an English bank made for 55-155 BPM and a rang of E2 to G#3.
