Viz Media translation for My Hero Academia switches “prostitute” to “sex worker”

Viz Media has come under fire for their English translation of My Hero Academia turning the word “prostitute” into “sex worker”.

Critics are once again of the belief that the change was made as a result of western influences, as “sex worker” is often used in place of “prostitute” due to the latter being deemed “offensive”, as well as to further push the narrative that “sex work is real work”.
