If you’ve ever played fighting games, or if you just happen to be a fan of them, you’ve probably heard of Virtua Fighter. The original game actually came out twenty years ago next month, and to celebrate (sort of), some of the Virtua Fighter staff are joining together to discuss the future of the series.
This event will be held under the “Kurokawa School for the Future of Entertainment”, a series of round table sessions famous for their rewarding and insightful topics. “The Future of Virtua Fighter, Twenty Years Later” will be hosted by Fumio Kurokawa, and the talks will include former Famitsu editor and current production staffer Takayuki Haneda, screenwriter Dai Sato, and series illustrator Katsuya Terada.
Previously, the Kurokawa School for the Future of Entertainment had a round table featuring Sony Worldwide Studio boss Shuhei Yoshida and ex-Capcom developer Keiji Inafune. Hhopefully this one will match the vigor of the last.
