Japanese developer Sting has announced a surprise launch for Viractal: World of Viractalia, their new board-game style role-playing game.
Viractal: World of Viractalia is now available for PC (via Steam) in early access, and a playable demo is out too.
The early access version of Viractal includes the following core features:
- Exploration and card-based battles on procedurally generated board-style maps
- Support for both solo play and online cooperative multiplayer
- A deck-building battle system where players construct decks before entering combat
- Multiple base stages and a variety of enemy types
- Unlockable features earned through post-battle rewards
- A collection system that allows players to store and view discovered game pieces
- Future updates will expand the game with additional characters, stages, cards, events, and more.
The full version, which will release within the next six months, will include the following additional content:
- New stages featuring previously unseen monsters
- New playable characters with unique skill cards
- Additional NPCs and related event interactions
- Expanded content tailored for cooperative multiplayer
- Unlockable items and reward systems”
