As promised, Compile Heart and Megami Tensei co-creator Kouji Okada have announced Villion: Code, a new school RPG.

Villion: Code is set to launch on June 25th, 2026 in Japan for Switch, Switch 2, PS4, and PS5.

Story

In the near future, humanity stands on the brink of extinction.

One day, an “anomaly” strikes the “Advanced Resilience Research Academy City,” established to confront the impending catastrophe.

Abnormal creatures—known as “GEMs”—begin attacking the populace. Simultaneously, the academy city is sealed off by a mysterious “bubble,” cutting off all escape routes to the outside world.

Within this closed, desperate situation, people are forced to confront the “karma” they each carry. What is the truth behind the anomaly enveloping the academy city?

Sankara Realm

The Sankara Realm is a dungeon-like alternate space embodying humanity’s “Ten Evils.” Academy members transformed into GEMs created the Sankara Realm (dungeon), blocking the path of the protagonists pursuing the “truth.”

Battle

This game features a battle system that fuses real-time “Speed Action” with “Diverse Tactics.” Engage in battles against formidable foes by utilizing teamwork between the protagonist and allies, along with special moves. Quickly assess the rapidly changing battlefield, select skills swiftly, and gain the upper hand in combat.

Genome Arms

“Genome Arms” are mutated arms transformed into weapons. Change equipped skills and more to adopt various combat styles. Furthermore, the protagonist’s “Genome Arms” can be switched during battle. Strategically switching based on enemy weaknesses and party coordination can turn the tide of battle.

Wall Slide

Approaching a wall triggers Wall Slide, allowing high-speed movement along walls to the opposite side of the field. Besides rapid travel, it can also lead into the “Raid Attack” for surprise strikes from above. Raid Attacks easily knock enemies back, enabling you to aim for a decisive finish.

Precursor Signal

When enemies prepare to attack, they glow, triggering a precursor signal. Timing your Genome Arms change to match this signal triggers a parry. This blocks damage and links into a powerful Deflect Counter. Some counters activate upon successful dodges, while others allow counterattacks after being knocked back by enemy strikes. Use these diverse counters flexibly to adapt to enemy assaults.
